Hello from The Wool Factory!

Hello from The Wool Factory!

A warm woolly welcome to our new blog!

We are so excited to be starting our new blog to share tons of crafty information with you all, that being anything knitting, crochet, sewing & even wreath making! Here at The Wool Factory we are not just employees but we are crafters too, we are all yarn addicts and get so excited when new products come in, and we love discussing projects with our customers.

We thought it would be really important to kick start our new blog with a little bit about us and the people behind packing your orders, helping you in the shop and the person writing this blog!

The Wool Factory is a true family owned and run business. starting in 2008 as a small market stall in the seaside resort of Mablethorpe, we gradually grew to selling at more markets and in 2013 we launched our website! 2017 we moved to our current shop premises and opened our very first shop, while still running all online from the same premises. It was a very exciting time for us. 2022 is the year for even more growth, opening our very own Crafty CafĂ©!

Meet the Team!

Hello! I am Grant - Director

I often spend most of my time being a woolly workaholic!

And If I am not doing that I will be having fun with my two girls Aurora & Winnie.

There is nothing better than exploring the world with my family and visiting new places,

but also the only way I switch off!

This year we flew to Kos and there was nothing more special than making memories we will never forget.

Hello! I am Matt - Operations Manager

I used to be a scout leader in my spare time but I have taken a step back from that for the moment,

as my family take up my free time. 1 boy 1 dog and a fiancé give me all the adventure I need at the moment!

I have worked in retail for far too many years some really big companies

and some little ones. I have worked abroad and gained valuable knowledge and understanding to every customers individual needs.

I hope you will see this in practice.

Hello! I am Mel - Team Leader

Other than my Husband and girls, my biggest passion in life is music and I love

nothing more than having a few vodkas and singing (terribly) on a karaoke.

If were going for fun facts my party trick is that I can dislocate both hips!

Hello! I am Ellie - Sales Assistant

I love all things crafty but my super power is crochet!

I am so lucky to live on the coast, there is nothing better than a winter beach

walk all wrapped up and cosy watching the waves.

Hello! I am Sue - Sales Assistant

I love decoupage and stone paining, up cycling small pieces of furniture,

sewing, knitting and crochet (yes I don't stop!)

The only thing I have ever won on a raffle is a signed electric guitar by the Traveling Wilburys tribute act.

Hello! I am Tara - Communications Assistant

You will more than often find me with a crochet hook in hand,

my favourite thing to make at the moment is a bumble bee that come along with bee friendly

seeds to plant in your garden!

Hello! I am Emma - Marketing Assistant

Having recently relocated from the Midlands to the coast, I am feeling so lucky!

You will often find me on the beach everyday walking my 2 dogs with my little girl Lottie looking for shells.

Weekends are my favourite getting to spend time with my family making memories and visiting new places.

And talking of weekends, you can't beat a glass of gin to celebrate.

If you are a gin lover I recommend Edinburgh Gin Plum and Vanilla (it really is amazing, give it a try!)

Hello! My name is Aurora - and I used to be the Wool Factory's smallest helper until my little sister Winnie came along!

I love popping into the shop to help the team, apparently I am best at packing woolly orders!

Hello! My name is Winnie - I am the new smallest member of the team!

I often visit the team dishing out hugs, but there is nothing better than having a run around the woolly maze!

I am a total yarn addict, that reluctantly uses my yarn to make lots of crochet things. Your shop is like walking into heaven! So much choice, and the people that work there are all lovely, helpful, cheerful and very welcoming people, I feel cared about and looked after, and more cheerful on my way home. Thank you all for being you!

Love the blog and little look into your hobbies. I like being able to put names to faces and I feel that your shop is probably the best I go to. I just need hubby to accept the buying yarn and using it are t

2 separate hobbies lol.

Keep up the fabulous work

absolutely brilliant ..... what a great idea, loved meeting you all, makes it a bit more personal

which is important when we have to talk to robots all the time.

Especially for me as a housebound OAP, dont know what i would do if i wasn't a 'crafty', go crazy I guess|

What beautiful children, Aurora and Winnie, gorgeous!

Just waiting for my order to arrive - today - to finish baby blanket

regards

maggie

I loved this email, it's my favourite one from you. I know l dont order much yarn from you.Because of money issues it's gotten worse lm a single mum of 4 on benefits but you are now my first stop for yarn,(it keeps me sane after my faith) because of your homely, heartwarming email. You all are special. Thank you, you made my day, big hugs from N lreland xx

The new blog has started well! As a nosy customer that is too far away to visit, it might be nice to know your relationship to each other.

I think that there should be a link to the blog at the top of your home page, so that it is easily accessible.

Best of luck, going forward with the new blog.
